All about BPH

The prostate is a male reproductive gland that makes the fluid that carries the sperm during ejaculation. This gland is located below the bladder and surrounds the urethra, the tube where urine passes out of the body.

Enlarged Prostate which is often called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). An enlarged prostate means that the glad got bigger and is putting pressure on the urethra causing urination and bladder problems, most men experiences it as they grow older.

Lets clarify that BPH is not cancer or similar, and does not increase the risk of developing cancer.

What´s the cause of BPH?

There is not an actual cause that´s known. However, some factors are related to aging and the testicles themselves. A study shows that men, who had their testicle removed by any reason such as a surgery due to cancer affections, do not experience BPH at all.
On the other hand on 2008 two Israeli doctors published that according to their research they found and suggest that BPH is caused by the malfunction of the valves in the internal spermatic veins manifestating as varicocele.
